Sakura festival

Sakura festival is an annual event held the last weekend in April.
In 2006, 200 Japanese cherry trees were planted at Langelinie, and it is these trees which
according to Japanese tradition are celebrated in April, when they bloom.

During the two days of the festival various Japanese activities are being held.
On the scene different happenings are taking place such as music played with different
instruments, dance performances, martial arts and more.

Restaurant Sukiyaki

In addition, there are various stalls where you can buy comic books and other art. In addition, there are a handful of stalls selling Japanese specialties such as sushi, noodles, bento boxes and other classic dishes.

It is free to participate in the festival and everyone is welcome.

My own experience: I have come for several years at Sakura festival, both to celebrate the cherry trees, watch performances on stage, walk around and eat Japanese food. It is a festival which I highly recommend.
