The Botanical Garden

The Botanical Garden

The botanical garden has been around since the 1600s. At that time it was a royal gift which were used only by medical students.

Today botanical garden belongs to the the University of Copenhagen. Besides being a popular destination for locals, it is also a living museum.
Here you will find the largest collection of living plants. You will also find preserved plants and fungi from all over the world.
Today, the garden’s most important task is to maintain a rich and living plant collection for research, teaching and dissemination.

My own experience: I have been in the botanical garden even if it is about to be many years ago. It is an exceptionally beautiful garden, which is worth a visit.

The botanical garden

In Danish: Den botaniske have har eksisteret siden 1600-tallet.

I dag hører botanisk have under Københavns universitet.
Her finder du Danmarks største samling af levende planter.
