Restaurant 56 grader

Last night I visited a restaurant 56 degrees and located at Christianshavn in Copenhagen.

The weather is amazing at the moment so we chose to sit outside and have a nice dinner.
We were served different tasty and delicious snacks and dishes with a twist. It is not often that there are some popcorn in my food but it also worked with blackberry, eggs and other good.

It is a very interesting menu that is based on the season’s materials. It is menu that is constantly in motion with new dishes every 3 weeks.

My own experience: It’s been a long time since I have eaten a dinner that did not contain a single meat. On the other hand several dishes included fish which I think is absolutely perfect for those hot summer days.In Danish: I går aftes besøgte jeg restaurant 56 grader og, som ligger på Christianshavn i København.

Vejret er jo helt fantastisk i øjeblikket, så vi valgte at sidde udenfor og spise en skøn middag.
Vi fik serveret forskellige velsmagende og lækre snacks og retter med en twist. Det er ikke så tit, at der er enkelte popcorn i min mad, men det fungerede også sammen med brombær, æg og andet godt.
Det er et meget interessant menukort som tager udgangspunkt i sæsonens varer. Et kort som hele tiden er i bevægelse med nye retter hver 3 uge.

Min egne erfaringer: Det er meget længe siden, at jeg har spist en middag som ikke indeholdte en eneste kødret. Til gengæld indeholdte flere af retterne fisk, som jeg synes er helt perfekt til de her varme sommerdage.

Format

Last night I visited Restaurant Format which is located in Copenhagen city center in Skt. Annæ hotel.

The restaurant has a warm southern European atmosphere and you have the feeling of sitting on a small square in Spain.
Will Smith the Head chef has worked for several years as Assistant Head chef at Geranium Restaurant. Wills style is very different. I was served a string of delicate and tasty snacks and dishes with an international touch. The dishes are simple in their impressions but have many contrasts and fine flavors which harmonize in the best way.

For the dishes I had served wines that matched perfectly to the food.
My own experience: I have eaten at Restaurant Format a few times and it is a gastronomic experience that exceeds my expectations every time. This applies to both the food and the wines that serve in restaurants. There’s only one to say I’m a fan of Will’s food. It is a restaurant that I would highly recommend.

Restaurant har en varm sydeuropæisk stemning, og man har en fornemmelse af at sidde på et lille torv i Spanien.
Will Smith som er køkkenchef har arbejdet i flere år, som Assisterende køkkenchef på restaurant Geranium. Wills stil er noget andet. Jeg fik serveret en perlerække af delikate og velsmagende snacks og retter med et internationalt fingeraftryk. Retter som er enkle i deres indtryk, men har mange kontraster og fine smagsnuancer, som harmonere på bedste vis.

Til retterne fik jeg serveret vine som matchede perfekt til maden.
Mine egen erfaring: Jeg har spist et par gange på restaurant Format og, det er en gastronomisk oplevelse som overstiger mine forventninger hver gang. Det gælder både maden og de vine som servere i restauranter. Der er kun et at sige, jeg er fan af Wills mad. Det er en restaurant som jeg varmt kan anbefale.

Lumskebugten

Restaurant Lumskebugten was founded in 1854 and is located in the center of Copenhagen.

It is a restaurant serving high-quality Danish smørrebrød for lunch. In the evening the restaurant runs a versatile a la carte card that follows the season for raw materials.

Restaurant Lumskebugten is also known for their Danish Christmas lunches in December which is very popular for private parties and companies.

My own experiences: In November 2017 I visited the restaurant, where I served several delicious dishes, where you could taste the detailsof the dishes. It is a restaurant that I can highly recommend.

In Danish: Restaurant Lumskebugten blev grundlagt i 1854 og den ligger i centrum af København.

Det er en restaurant som servere smørrebrød af høj kvalitet til frokost. Om aften kører restauranten med et alsidigt a la carte kort som følger sæsonen for råvarer.

Restaurant Lumskebugten er også kendt for deres julefrokoster i december måned, som er et tilløbsstykke for selskaber.

Mine egner erfaringer: I november 2017 besøgte jeg restauranten, hvor jeg fik serveret flere forskellige delikate og velsmagende retter, hvor du kunne smage de fine nuancer i de enkelte retter. Det er en restaurant som jeg varm kan anbefale.

Wokshop

WokshopIn Copenhagen there are several restaurants called Wokshop.
Wokshop serve tasty Thai food of high quality. You cannot book a table so you just pop up and wait at their bar for an empty table.

The menu is large and they have a fine selection of snacks, entrees and main dishes.
The surroundings are cozy and you feel comfortable. The staff is welcoming and the service is good. Wokshop has over the last couple opened several restaurants to today they have several restaurants in Copenhagen.

My own experience: I have eaten several times over the years on Wokshop. They make delicious Thai food that I highly recommend.

In Danish: I København ligger der flere restauranter ved navn Wokshop.
Wokshop servere thailandsk mad velsmagende mad af høj kvalitet. Man kan ikke bestille bord, så du dukker bare op og venter i deres bar på et ledigt bord.

Menukortet er stort og de har et fint udvalg af snacks, forretter og hovedretter.
Omgivelserne er hyggelige og man føler sig godt tilpas. Personalet er imødekommende og
servicen er god. Wokshop har igennem de sidste par åbnet flere restauranter, så de idag har flere restauranter i København.

Mine egne erfaringer: Jeg har spist adskillige gange igennem årene på Wokshop. De laver lækkert thailandsk mad som jeg varmt kan anbefale.

Restaurant Palægade

Restaurant PalægadeFor 4 months ago opened the restaurant Palægade. The restaurant is located in a side street Bredgade near Kongens Nytorv in central Copenhagen.

Restaurant Palægade serves a large variety of tasty Danish smørrebrød of high quality for lunch. They only use extremely fresh ingredients and the smørrebrød is made when guest has given the order. For dinner they serve different kind of dishes that can be ordered a la carte.

The restaurant is modern, comfortable and decorated in warm colors. The service is welcoming and pleasant.

My own experience: Just the other day I ate lunch at the restaurant Palægade. Their smørrebrød are made from scratch from raw materials of best quality. The two sandwiches I ordered were very tasty and there is no doubt that they have some extremely talented chefs who cook the food. It is a restaurant which I can highly command.
Restaurant PalægadeIn Danish: For 4 måneder siden åbnede restaurant Palægade. Restauranten ligger i en sidegade til Bredgade tæt på Kongens Nytorv i indre København.

Restaurant Palægade servere et stort udvalg af velsmagende smørrebrød af høj kvalitet til frokost. Smørrebrød til friske råvarer og som først laves når gæsten har afgivet sin bestilling. Til aften servere de nogle andre retter som kan bestilles a la carte.

Restauranten er moderne, behagelig og indrettet i varme farver. Betjeningen er imødekommende og behagelig.

Mine egne erfaringer: Her forleden spiste jeg frokost på restaurant Palægade. Deres smørrebrød laves fra bunden af råvarer af bedste kvalitet. De to smørrebrød smagte fantastisk godt, og man er ikke tvivl om at det nogle ekstrem dygtige kokke som laver maden. Det er en restaurant som jeg varmt kan befale.

Retour Steak

Retour SteakIn central Copenhagen you can find the gourmet restaurant Retour Steak.
In the restaurant there is warm and friendly atmosphere where they serve their popular and tasty steak of high quality with bearnaise sauce. The food is of such a quality that the restaurant also is recommended in the Michelin Guide 2016.

The restaurant is one of the most popular steak restaurants in Copenhagen. Even though the restaurant is fully booked the service is still top notch.

My own experience: I eat at Retour Steak. It is a restaurant that offers quality food at a
reasonable price. It is a restaurant that I can highly recommend.

In Danish: I indre København ligger gourmet restauranten Retour Steak.
I behagelige og hyggelige omgivelser serveres deres populære og velsmagende steak af høj kvalitet med bearnaise sauce. Maden er af sådan en kvalitet, at restauranten også bliver
anbefalet i Michelin-guiden 2016.

Restauranten er en af de populæreste steak restauranter i København, selvom restauranten er fuld booket er servicen stadig i top.

Mine egne erfaringer: Jeg har spise hos Retour Steak. Det er en restaurant der byder på
kvalitetsmad til en fornuftig pris. Det er en restaurant som jeg varmt kan anbefale.

Manfreds

ManfredsAt Nørrebro in Copenhagen there is a small rustic restaurant that attracted more attention the last few years.
Manfred’s make Copenhagen’s best organic tartare and it is very popular.
Of course, they also have many other dishes and menus but they are primarily known for their tartare.

The restaurant is not very big, staff members are friendly, welcoming and service minded.
My own experience: This week I visited Manfred it is a nice and cozy little restaurant where you feel comfortable.

I only ordered their tartare which tastes fantastic and is very tasty. To the dish I was served freshly baked slices of sourdough bread which tasted wonderful. There is only one thing to say I highly recommend Manfred.
ManfredsIn Danish: På Nørrebro i København ligger en lille rustik restaurant, der gjort sig bemærket indenfor de sidste par år.
Manfreds laver Københavns bedste økologisk tatar og den er meget populær.
Selvfølgelig har de også mange andre retter og menuer, men de er først og fremmest kendt for deres tatar.

Selv restauranten er ikke særlig stor, personaler er venlige, imødekommende og servicemindet.

Mine egne erfaringer: I denne uge besøgte jeg Manfreds som er behagelig og hyggelig lille restaurant, hvor man føler sig godt tilpas.

Jeg bestilte kun deres tatar som smager helt fantastisk og er meget velsmagende. Til retten fik jeg serveret friskbagt grove skiver surdejsbrød, som smagte vidunderligt.  Der er kun et at sige, jeg kan varmt anbefale Manfreds.

Mielcke & HurtigkarlA few weeks ago I had dinner at the restaurant Mielcke & Hurtigkarl. The restaurant is located in a beautiful setting close to Frederiksberg Garden an area which is 15 minutes away from the center of Copenhagen.

I visited the restaurant with a party when I was celebrating a belated 40th birthday.

The restaurant is located in a large and beautifully decorated room. The staff is ready to
welcome guests when they walk in the door. The staff is very welcoming and the service is top notch.

Mielcke & HurtigkarlMy own experience: The food taste fantastic. We were served a 5 course menu and a lot of snack. The food was Asian inspired combined with Nordic ingredients. Each dish and snack was a gastronomic experience like no other, the individual dishes were cooked to perfection and the wines were served tasted great.

2 of the guests were vegetarians and were very excited about the menu as they were served. The food they were served looked like the menu the rest of us got. It is a restaurant that I can highly recommend.
Mielcke & HurtigkarlIn Danish: For et par uger siden spiste jeg på restaurant Mielck & Hurtigkarl. Restauranten ligger i smukke omgivelser tæt på Frederiksberg have et område, der ligger 15 minutter væk
fra centrum af København.

Jeg besøgte restauranten med et selskab, da jeg skulle fejre en forsinket 40 års fødselsdag.

Restauranten ligger i et stort og smukt indrettet lokale. Personalet står klar til at tage imod gæsterne, når man træder ind af døren. Personalet er meget imødekommende og servicen er helt i top.

Mine egne erfaringer: Maden smage helt fantastisk. Vi fik serveret en 5 retters menu samt en masse snack. Maden har asiatisk inspireret kombineret med nordiske råvarer. Hver enkelt ret og snack var en gastronomisk oplevelse uden side, de enkelte retter var tilberedt til perfektion og de vine fik serveret smagte fantastisk.

2 af gæster var vegetarer og var meget begejstret for den menu som de fik serveret. Maden som de fik serveret lignede den menu som vi andre fik.  Det er en restaurant som jeg varmt kan anbefale.

NigiriFrom November 2015 I will do Japanese pop-up sushi dinners for diners on a Saturday night every two months. In the course of an evening there is room for maximum 12 diners.

The next pop-up dinner will be held Saturday 27 February 2016 in a beautiful room in the real estate store Danbolig City located on Dronningens Tværgade 26 in central Copenhagen in Denmark.

I am going to make a Japanese omakase menu that is based on the ingredients, raw materials and techniques that I have learned from my Japanese sensei living in Tokyo and Los Angeles. The menu will change and follow the season for raw materials.

Do not miss this unique chance to taste an authentic Japanese omakase sushi menu, which is based on fresh seasonal produce. It is dinner consisting of 6 different delicious and tasty dishes that will give you as a guest a gastronomic experience beyond the ordinary.

Restaurant OTTO

Restaurant OttoIn end 2015 restaurant Otto was opened. The restaurant is located on one of the most exclusive streets in the center of Copenhagen Store Kongensgade.

Shortly after the restaurant had opened, I visited the restaurant together with a friend. We ordered each 4 different dishes which tasted absolutely fantastic. The dishes were not expensive, the quality is very high and raw materials are combined in a new and interesting way.

The restaurant itself is not that big but cozy furnished. The staff is service-minded, friendly and welcoming. It is a place that I can highly recommend.

My own experience: It is a cozy restaurant that serves tasty dishes which are also suitable for guests with small budgets. The staff is welcoming and friendly. It is a place that I can highly recommend.

In Danish: I slutningen 2015 åbnede restaurant Otto. Restauranten ligger på en af de mest eksklusive gader i centrum af København Store Kongensgade.

Kort efter at restauranten havde åbnet besøgte jeg stedet sammen med en veninde. Vi bestilt hver 4 forskellige retter som smagte helt fantastisk. Retterne er slet ikke dyre, kvaliteten er meget høj og råvarer bliver kombineret på en ny og interessant måde.

Selve restauranten er ikke så stor men hyggelig indrettet. Personalet er servicemindet, venlig og imødekommende. Det er et sted som jeg varmt kan anbefale.
