Danish Cosiness

Danish cosinessDenmark is known for the concept of “Danish cosiness”.

It is a social event where you meet with one or more friends or college to drink a cup of coffee or a glass of wine and chat. It’s usual informal and anything and everything is being talked about.

This social event takes place year round. In winter, it is often in a café / restaurant or private homes. In the summer, often takes place at one of Copenhagen’s many café and restaurants that offer outdoor seating.

Torvehallerne has become a popular place where you meet over a glass of wine and chat. There are a few food and wine / cocktail stalls and many tables with benches where you can enjoy wine in comfortable surroundings.

My own experience: In the summer I enjoy meeting with friends at Torvehallerne. The good weather and a glass is a perfect end to the day.

In Danish: Danmark er kendt for begrebet ”Dansk hygge”.

Denne sociale event finder sted året rundt.
